Great Escapes enters 10th year at Courtlands!
The Great Escapes holiday club run by Courtlands School in Plymouth, part of Transforming Futures Trust, is marking its 10th year in operation.
Great Escapes now runs in the Easter and Summer Holidays providing supervised support and activities for children who attend Courtlands.
In a recent survey, 100% of the parents asked said that Great Escapes provided mental wellbeing support for their children – especially important throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, when Great Escapes has continued to operate safely.
One parent said: “My son enjoys every aspect of Great Escapes, he loves seeing his friends, and the staff are attentive. He loves the activities provided too particularly being outside!”
Another added: “The staff are all excellent at their jobs, they do lots of different activities which my children really enjoy and my children come home really happy.”
Lee Earnshaw is the Head at Courtlands. He said: “I’m very proud of our staff who, as well as working a full time job, run Great Escapes, which is incredibly popular with our families. Routine is sometime very important to a child, and having the structured days to go to can make a real difference.”
Gavin Gracie is the Chief Executive of Transforming Futures Trust, the multi academy trust who run Courtlands. He said “I am constantly amazed and grateful to our staff who genuinely go the extra mile to provide a high quality educational experience for the young people in their care.”
