This post will provide additional capacity to the existing strong leadership team for an interim period whilst 
the recruitment of a new headteacher is underway. Under the leadership of an Executive Headteacher, this 
post will bring strategic thinking, a reflective, coaching approach that nurtures and supports staff and 
students, engendering a deep sense of care, confidence and enabling delivery of excellent teaching, 
learning and pupil development. 

The interim Deputy Headteacher will further instil the positive ethos across the school community, 
reflecting our commitment to education including the encouragement of all staff and students to 
participate fully in all aspects of school life. This essential role ensures that the school is constantly 
reviewing its behavioural policies and procedures, identifying trends and patterns and being adaptive to 
individual needs of pupils.

At a strategic level, you will be responsible for monitoring and tracking all behavioural and attendance 
data, providing weekly and half termly reports, the creation of action plans and the implementation of 
initiatives to show constant improvement in all areas. In support of this, you will also monitor exclusions 
and provide analysis. Operationally, you will communicate whole school relational and behavioural
expectations, ensuring a positive environment and excellent behaviour for learning across the curriculum. 
You will also organise the staff and pupil rota for unstructured times and oversee extra-curricular activities 
during these times, monitoring impact and reviewing half termly.
